Khai is a Muslim-Malay creative producer shaped by Singapore’s stages and London’s fringes. She graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA (Distinction) in Creative Producing (2019).
She has produced award-winning work such as Patricia Gets Ready (for a date with the man that used to hit her) by Martha Watson Allpress, and Coming Out to Dead People by Ricky Sim, which has been presented in London and New York. During the pandemic, Khai founded RUMAH, a platform celebrating diasporic joy and uplifting underrepresented voices.
In 2022, she was nominated for the Asian Women of Achievement Awards by NatWest. A recipient of both the Stage One Bursary and the MGCfutures Bursary, Khai has worked with organisations including Complicité, Brixton House, Hackney Empire, Migration Matters Festival, Spare Tyre, and In Good Company. She currently manages LUNG and Spymonkey, produces accessible theatre for children with Hiccup Theatre, and serves as a Trustee for TRANSFORM Festival.
