LUNG and The North Wall Arts Centre’s production Woodhill follows the real stories of families who’s loved ones have died in prison. Alongside the production we are working with Inquest to support their No More Deaths Campaign.

The campaign is calling for a National Oversight Mechanism. This means independent public body responsible for collating, analysing and following-up on recommendations arising from inquests, inquiries, official reviews and investigations into state-related deaths.

If you have seen the play, you will know and understand the trauma that is being inficted by our failing criminal justice system. Stand with the families who have so bravely shared their stories. Click the link below to sign the petition, and read more about #NoMoreDeaths.

The Woodhill Families

Once a month for over a year, the Woodhill families have been meeting. They have worked closely with the LUNG team to create the play Woodhill, about their experiences and views on the prison system, and death in custody. Together, these families are fighting for justice for their boys. Together, we are determined that change will happen. Find out more about how to get involved with the campaign #NoMoreDeaths.

‘Our boys needed help, not punishment. They were given a prison sentence that turned into a death sentence. There is a crisis unfolding in our prisons. We will not stop until their story is heard.’
